Emma Stone's Natural Hair Color Isn't What You Think

Emma Stone has worn plenty of different hair colors over the years since her first role in the talent competition reality show "In Search of the New Partridge Family" back in 2004 when she was just 16. And proven she looks good in all of them, from brunette to blond and even the black and white wig she wore for Disney's "Cruella" back in 2021. While many love her with red hair - and how could you not, considering it's become her signature shade - you might be surprised to discover that it's not her natural hair color. In fact, the actor's original hue is dark blond. Celebrity hairstylist Tracey Cunningham, who's worked with big names such as Jennifer Lopez, Halle Berry, and Elizabeth Olsen, first transformed Stone into a redhead for a movie in 2006. In an interview with POPSUGAR, Cunningham said, "One of my other favorite memories was when Emma Stone came to me for 'Superbad' and we made her a redhead. It was so beautiful. I loved it." Clearly, so did the actor, as she's since kept the shade for the majority of her career. This has led many fans to believe it's Stone's real hair color. Though she occasionally rotates back to a platinum blond, it doesn't take long for her to return to dark red. Still, each color looks as good as the next.
